IoT (Internet of things) is the concept that every devices should be connected to each other. This is a marked in rapida expansion and that is already extremely implemented in industry, it is doing the leap to the hands of the consumers, a great example of that are the popular devices to turn your house into a "smart house".
You have certainly heard about 5G, but do you know what it is? It will be the new generation of telecommunications, the 5th to be precise. It all started with 1G that introduced wireless technology, followed by 2G that made it possible to send messages, 3G that made it possible to make long range calls, send text messages and access the internet, while 4G improved download and upload speeds. So what does 5G bring than? In addition to an optimization of 4G technology, the internet speed will also multiply greatly, reaching 10Gbps (more than optical fiber), it will reduce the response time between network and device (latency) making the response almost real time, but there is something even more necessary, increasing the number of devices supported simultaneously. Besides the appeal that downloading series in seconds and playing video games with very low ping may bring, perhaps the most important thing is it's support of the massive growing number of devices connected to the net...
